Monitoring

Data collection systems and a common database have been set up as part of the project.

Consumption data from SMEs being monitored in the project has been sent to the common database.

The database has been used to produce consumption graphs for individual businesses which have been displayed over the internet, using a website display system developed by the project partner Energy Metering Technology. This can be accessed at: www.aim4smesonline.co.uk .

It has been possible for the database to be used by participating SMEs to view their own energy/water consumption data over the internet and so monitor their own consumption.

It is possible to compare consumption between businesses, and it has been possible for the website graphs to be used with the training in the project.

The use of intelligent metering graphs in the project has helped with raising energy awareness and with monitoring consumption on an ongoing basis.
